The Parish Council is an elected body in the first tier of local government.
Theale Parish Council has 11 councillors who stand for election every 4 years.
The duties and functions of a parish council are many and varied but fall into 3 main categories:
· Representing your local community
· Delivering services to meet local needs
· Striving to improve quality of life in the parish
Theale Parish Council meetings are held monthly in the Peter Gooch Room, The Pavilion, Englefield Road and are open to the public.
Councillors consider matters affecting the parish, planning applications and issues raised directly by local residents.
