Creating A Community Welcoming Warm Space In Theale

Creating A Community Welcoming Warm Space In Theale

Published: 12 Feb 24

On behalf of our local community a big THANK YOU to Greenham Trust for your generosity and support of our warm space project. From next Wednesday (17th January) our coffee morning will become a welcoming warm space every Wednesday with free transport provided by Care Bus for those who need it until the end of March. The Peter Gooch Room (next to the Parish Office) on Englefield Road will be open as a warm space from 9.00am - 3.00pm. Everyone is welcome and free tea, coffee, squash, cuppa soup and hot chocolate will be provided for all who attend. Everyone in our community is welcome including children and well behaved dogs. We hope this will provide an opportunity for people to make new friends and socialise and ask that you spread the word especially to those who can't access social media. Dog Poo Bins Update

Dog Poo Bins Update

Published: 12 Feb 24

West Berks Council are planning to remove dog poo bins from 1st April which was detailed in the recent "Balancing our Budget" consultation. On Monday 5th February Theale Parish Council agreed to take on this service rather than risk litterbins being filled with dog waste or people not picking up after their dog. Gary and the team will ensure that the dog poo bins in and around Theale are emptied regularly and are never left overflowing from April 2024. https://westberks.gov.uk/article/42381/Balancing-our-budget-for-2024-25 Read More...
